Feast of St. Janyl: pilgrims' crossings

From 22 to 25 August the Qara-Chik and Kara-Bulak checkpoints stay open until midnight for pilgrims travelling to Iyık Janyl, with UNMI liaison officers present. Pilgrims from the tribal regions cross on a clan travel permit registered with the Gendarmerie.
